ASP.NET MVC Framework Versions

Four versions of ASP.NET MVC Framework released till date excluding RC, Beta and CTP versions. This article is small effort of compiling important links and short description of basic things of ASP.NET MVC Framework. I have excluded RC, Beta and CTP Version in this compilation.

  • New MVC Template in Visual Studio.
Before you run the ASP.NET MVC v1.0 installer, uninstall any earlier pre-release versions of ASP.NET MVC. In addition, close all instances of Visual Studio 2008. Go To Download
  • Supported operating systems: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows XP
  • .NET 3.5 SP1. Visual Studio 2008, Visual Studio 2008 SP1 or Visual Web Developer 2008 SP1 are required to use certain parts of this feature.

Upgrading an ASP.NET MVC 3 Project to ASP.NET MVC 4 Go To Download The ASP.NET MVC 4 components for Visual Studio require PowerShell 2.0 and either Visual Studio 2010 with Service Pack 1 or Visual Web Developer Express 2010 with Service Pack 1.
